words cannot express how i would feel if i were able to visit the ratti & canepa mills (lake como, italy) ... it would be a dream come true ... the fabrics are beautiful ... to see & touch them would be amazing ... i've always wanted to be a fashion buyer {it involves the two things i love most ... fashion + travel} ... traveling to italy to select fabrics/patterns for an upcoming collection = AWESOME... watch the video, "about a print," to catch a glimpse of j.crew behind the scenes...

i don't find deals frequently, so when i came across this leather circle skirt, (only one & it was my size), in the sale room @ anthropologie i quickly grabbed it & ran to the fitting room ... the fit was perfect! it's not often you find a circle/a-line leather skirt ... i know i got a great deal ... marked down to $59.95 from $228 ... it's a piece i will have for a lifetime ... oh & it has POCKETS!!!

had a great slice of pizza from this cute little cart ... check out the delivery bike we had lunch @ kenny & zukes ... husband's sandwich was HUGE perfect cup of coffee from stumptown ... kenny & zukes is next door chinatown ... we went to a beautiful garden portland's favorite mode of transportation: bicycles

we went on a fabulous two week trip to the pacific northwest back in october ... first up are the pictures from portland ... stayed @ hotel monaco ... we had a large suite ... wine hour is definitely a reason to stay + the hotel is really nice & they have a great restaurant on-site (red star tavern) ... they have the best happy hour ... the food cart scene is ridiculous ... they are everywhere ... husband tried the bulgolgi tacos & i had a slice of pizza from give pizza a chance ... we walked everywhere in the city ... ventured to voodoo donuts ... the line was super long, but it was worth the wait ... went to the shine a light event @ the art museum ... had a great time ... admission included free beer!!! overall our trip was fantastic ... we will definitely come back ...
